The Church and Country Estate One!
An early start saw me arriving at the very grand and stately Heath House. The long sweeping driveway led me around to the stable cottages where bridal prep was in full swing. Jess was calm and organised and her bridesmaids and mum had the whole situation in hand. With glasses of bubbles and breakfast flowing I grabbed some shots of hair and make up.
With an hour before the ceremony everyone headed over to Heath House itself and the bridal suite to dress. I have to say Jess & Ash’s suite was breath taking with huge windows overlooking the grounds and an imposing 4 poster bed taking centre stage. It was like something out of Downton Abbey! The light that day was beautiful and as the bridal party got dressed we took some gorgeous photos with light flooding in through the windows. The florists from Little Leaf Floristry were busy making the house look even more gorgeous with sunflowers and Jess’s bouquet was incredible. Justin and Sophie the owners of Heath house made everyone feel welcome and relaxed, chipping in and helping with all the finer details, such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The cars arrived and Jess put on her amazing dress. She looked incredible and after a few more shots I headed over to the church to prepare for the ceremony.
Ash was ready and waiting with his groomsmen at the church and guests arrived and took their seats. The atmosphere was happy and expectant and with only a few glimpses of nerves Ash took up his position awaiting Jess.
Jess and her bridal party were led down the aisle by the choir with the resounding music from the organ playing high up in the balcony. As the choir took their seat the page boys, flower girls and bridesmaids led the procession down the aisle. Jess followed, accompanied by her very proud looking mum.
After the ceremony and the congregation had congratulated the bride and groom we all headed back to Heath House for celebrations to begin.
Drinks were taken in the grand reception rooms and lawn games kept guests entertained. Jess & Ash’s dog Amber made the occasional dash around the lawns and looked equally at home in the stunning surroundings. The group shots were fun and relaxed and afterwards everyone heading into the marque for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
After the speeches the light had begun to mellow and the sun was starting to dip lower casting a gorgeous pink and orange glow. We headed up towards the orangery for some couple shots, wandering around and grabbing relaxed poses here and there.
As night set the evening guests arrived and the band prepared the stage inside the marque. A hog roast slowly cooked in the courtyard and everyone relaxed. After cutting the cake Jess & Ash took to the stage for their first dance and then everyone descended onto the dance floor and the partying really began.
Jess & Ash your day was wonderful from start to finish and it was an amazing & special day to be a part of.
You were a pleasure to work with and I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together. xxx
