The Christmas at Chatsworth (with an Australian Twist) One! 'Chloe & Jimmy'

So this wedding was a little different in that I hadn't met Chloe & Jimmy prior to their special day. I mean I could have gone to Sydney, Australia but I reckon the tax man may have taken some convincing regards the necessity of the trip! However, chatting with Jimmy via messages revealed he had once been practically a neighbour when he lived in Belper prior to emigrating. Chloe herself was also from nearby Chesterfield.

Their chosen venue, Chatsworth House was somewhere which held great memories for them, so the perfect place for their respective families to come together and celebrate their wedding.

The late afternoon wedding meant that dusk had already fallen when Jimmy arrived in style courtesy of Wedding Cars of Derby.

We grabbed a few shots of Jimmy with his best man and Dad by the car and a few in the grounds.

It was around this time I got the first hint from the wedding planner that there was the faintest possibility we might get permission to take some couple shots in a very special room with Chatsworth House itself...I crossed everything I could!

Guests began arriving and mingled in the beautiful festive Cavendish Room awaiting the arrival of Chloe.

Chloe, her Dad and bridesmaids arrived in a very classy Daimler Limousine, again supplied by Wedding Cars of Derby. The car looked awesome as it approached up the long, grand driveway.

Guests were ushered into the ceremony room and Chloe prepared herself to walk down the aisle. Chloe's dress was also all the way from Sydney and oozed style and class. Chloe looked truly stunning.

After a few more nervous minutes for Jimmy, Chloe made her way down the aisle, bridesmaids and page boy first and then Chloe arm in arm with her Dad.

The ceremony was very personal with a lovely touch of handwritten vows and a candle in memory of those not with them. A very special and unique moment involved Chloe & Jimmy's respective mum's giving them their 'final kiss' before they married as recognition of them giving them their 'first kiss' when they were born, so cute!

After the ceremony we were given the exciting news that we would be taking the couple photographs in the Painted Hall, normally reserved for a handful of weddings. The room itself features a huge, grand staircase which dominates and was featured in the movie, Pride & Prejudice! An awesome and special moment for Chloe & Jimmy....and quite a nerve racking one for myself! No pressure!!

After a few family shots in the courtyard and a few (well lots) of Jimmy on a MASSIVE statue of a horse (thank god for my step ladder!), everyone settled down for their scrumptious afternoon tea and the speeches.

The evening got underway with the ceremonious cutting of the cake, Chloe & Jimmy really went for it and sliced through all 3 layers in one swift motion!! Then a soloist sang their first dance song and Chloe & Jimmy led the way on the dance floor.

I left Chloe & Jimmy to enjoy the rest of their evening and wished them a safe journey back to the other side of the world....via Bali...I mean why not??!!

Thank you so much for choosing Ginger Photography and I wish you both a lifetime of love & happiness, Emma xxx
